OSEM-EMBAARK (Educational Milestones Beyond Abiding Academics Redefining Knowledge), is a bouquet of engaging programmes that take learning beyond the confines of the classroom and provide opportunities to students to experience and learn in realistic and prolific learning environments.
OSEM-EMBAARK is a conglomerate of educational clubs and programmes that engage students in trans-disciplinary learning activities outside and beyond regular school hours.
The main purpose of the OSEM-EMBAARK programmes is to offer multiple avenues to students to connect with the real world, experience the interplay of skills and knowledge when transferred to real-life situations and thereby learn new skills, achieve new milestones and redefine the boundaries of knowledge.
OSEM Nature Club
OSEM Nature Club is a voluntary students club. Our club aims to conservation of nature through all its aspects for carrying out various students involving activities for environment. We also provide the platform for students to explore their love and care for nature as well as training them to make aware about the environmental harms and its importance among the society in which they have to create their future. So we conclude our motto through tagline “Preserve Nature Secure Future”.
OSEM Greaders’ Club
OSEM Greaders’ Club imparts reading as a recreational activity. Reading is a powerful learning experience and is the key to children’s early success. With a motive to take up reading as a hobby, innovative reading activities include Reading Games, Book Art and Design , Literary Information Sessions, Story Narrations, Pictionary etc. This club facilitates the readers with rich opportunities to develop depth in understanding, improve vocabulary and learn new expressions. A lot of emphasis is put on discussions post reading which encourages listeners to retrospect, connect ideas within and beyond the text using background knowledge. It creates a pathway to discover the wider world through reading for pleasure and discussion.
OSEM Model United Nations (MUN) Club
OSEM MUN CLUB is an educational simulation in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations. The MUN club is popular mainly because it involves and teaches participants researching, public speaking, debating and writing skills, in addition to honing their critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities. The primary goal is to engage students and allow them to develop a deeper understanding of current world issues. Students engage in an authentic simulation of the United Nations by learning about the system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. Based on student’s performance in the training sessions, delegates are shortlisted for the Intra-MUN–annual event which comprises of committees like UNSC (Security Council), UNHRC (Human Rights Council), UNGA (General Assembly), AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet), Proposed Scientific Committee. The students through this club learn about the workings of world diplomacy through the lens of current world events.
OSEM Students’ Social Responsibility Cell (SSRC Club)
An initiative wherein students and teachers voluntarily pledge their time and efforts to work towards social causes and undertake several time bound social engagement activities that aim to help them contribute to the betterment of the society. To shape them as better individuals, students need to be encouraged to develop virtues such as respect, compassion, justice, humility, and understand their social and moral responsibility towards humanity.
INCREDIBLES Music Club:
Music in India began as an indispensable part of socio-religious life .The Indian music has a lot of varieties such as Indian Classical music, Folk music, Hindi Bollywood songs, and Indian Pop. Thus music is an integral part of the curriculum of OSEM School.OSEM Club students are encouraged to explore their talent in the vocal music. Throughout the year, the students participate in various cultural activities and events organized in the school which provide them an amazing platform to brush up their unique skills.
AAKRITI (Art) Club:
AAKRITI club nurtures the creative need of a child. It not only provides students with an opportunity to participate in an extracurricular activity that, not only allows them to express themselves, but also grows as an individual.
With the idea that art is not singularly confined to one domain, be it painting or sculpture, the club will include various forms of creative expressions. Moreover members of this club will be able to expand their area of expertise by making various useful items which will be really useful in their daily life.
Art club allows the students to be more creative and leaves no stone unturned to develop and enhance their aesthetic sense and help them grow into more calm and responsible individuals.
Commerce Club:
In order to give the exposure to students and meet the needs of the dynamic environment, it is not just enough to make the students learn the theoretical concepts, hence commerce club has been introduced with the aim of preparing students to meet the forthcoming practical challenges, make them interact with the industry experts and to build self-confidence by igniting a spark of curiosity and making them enterprising.
The Commerce Club conducts various activities such as conducting regular meetings, Finance events, visit to industry, arranging lectures of learned personalities, participation in various competitions like Olympiads, Quiz, Aptitude tests and taking up of research projects. The commerce club has indeed worked in a great way to spark the interests of students in the process of learning and exploration.
